Excitations and Inspirations

I’ve always thought that America was a pretty rad and special place, but two things have happened in the last few years to make me want to talk about it: The fact that things are going so badly at the moment that many have forgotten what’s so good about us; and a camping trip I took around the country last year. This is a wonderful and beautiful country whose wrongs are worth righting.

Among a very many other people, and like a very many other people I presume, I owe a little bit of everything I have to the brain-tingling, heart-swelling, life-exploding influence of Brandon Avery Joyce. Distance-learning editions of this experience are available at www.lifeactionrevival.org. The same goes, of course, for my mother.

I have Joyce Lok See Fu to thank for most of the better decisions I’ve made in the last five years.  She has been my biggest fan and my best advisor.  I would not have found my way in this strange world without her.

I el-oh-vee-ee love John Prine.

And there’s one more thing: I lead an unexplainably charmed and magical life. Don’t know who I have to thank for that, but whoever it is, a high-five to them; hats-off; Amen.
